Day #1 Padang - Muara - Muarasiberut (A)
In the afternoon you will be greeted at your hotel in Padang on your personal tour guide and taken to the port of Muara. There you will board the ferry to Siberut in the Mentawai Archipelago. The Mentawai archipelago is located about 140km west of Padang. The archipelago covers an area of 6.700km = B2 and comprises the islands of Siberut, Sipura, Nordpagai (Pagai Utara) and Südpagai (Pagai Selatan). About half of the 65,000 inhabitants of the archipelago on the main island of Siberut live. Many of the residents are indigenous peoples, as in the Sakhai associated nachwievor their animist traditions and their original lifestyle. Also home to many endemic species on the islands. One can see e.g. Mentawai gibbons (Hylobates klossii) Pageh butt noses (Simias concolor), Pagai macaques (Macaca pagensis), Siberut macaques (Macaca siberu) and Mentawai langurs (Presbytis Potenziani). Siberut is valued by the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The crossing to Muarasiberut begins in the evening. Overnight on board the ferry.
Day #2 Muarasiberut - Rorogot (FMA)
Early in the morning to reach Muara Siberut, where you first get the permission to visit the archipelago by the local government. Day #4 Rorogot - Bat Alemoi - Bat Elemoi (FMA)
In the morning you can still spend some time with the residents of the settlement before heading to another village. The hike to Bat alemoi will take about 2.5 hours. Staying in Bat elemoi you in a house of the Mentawai.
Day #5 Bat Elemoi - Muarasiberut (FMA)
The morning is to explore the village at leisure. Even here people go about their everyday work.
Day #6 Muarasiberut - Muara - Padang (FA)
In the morning you reach the port of Padang. There you will be picked up and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Hotels in Padang.
Day #7 Padang - Abreise (F)
Breakfast in the hotel. Then the day you might transfer to the airport for free.
